Around the World in 80 Seconds

Another old video… yes, 2 years is old, but it is worth the visit! A great concept from its author, photographer Alex Profit, which combines stop-motion and flawless transitions. Add to that a touch of originality and you get 80 seconds of pure pleasure.

The reference to Jules Verne is clear and sticks to the concept perfectly. His trip around the world took the following 7 steps:

• London
• Cairo
• Bombay
• Hong Kong
• Tokyo
• San Francisco
• NYC

And if you’re wondering how he created it, he used a compact camera Sony Cybershot HX5V on which he mounted an arm that positions the globe exactly in the same place.
