Dear reader, dear geek, dear traveler, you’re probably wondering who I am and what I want… Well, I think the site is pretty clear. I am a traveler and a geek.
So, to immediately set the record straight:
Oh, you want to know my project? Well, it’s very simple. I thought it might be interesting and fun to combine these two features (geek and travel) and throw myself headlong into a geek world tour.
So, when I say “geek world tour”, I do not mean to take a tour of Google Earth, but with real planes, trains, and buses which will take me to the places on earth where all the geeks dream of going, such as Silicon Valley, MIT, Akihabara…
It’s not yet defined, actually, and for good reason. It’s you who will help me create my trajectory!
I have on this site a link for all your suggestions for geeky places to visit. So, offer your ideas and I’ll try my best to go there.
So, if you want to know how the Himiko boat in Tokyo was designed by Leiji Matsumoto, the creator of Captain Harlock, or wonder what Brickvention, the largest Lego convention in Australia, would be like, then fill out the form and I’ll do my best to satisfy your curiosity (and mine at the same time).
I want to leave in February 2013 without a fixed return date.
For the first time, I’ll take my time to enjoy everything.
(*) For example, I took the Geek Test and got a 29.33579%, which makes me a Total Geek. A good result, but not great.
