Even though it’s true that I’m traveling alone, that doesn’t mean I’m ever completely alone. I could never turn my back on those who help me.
So, here are the people who are helping me or who previously helped me with my GeekWorldTour project:
Hi everyone!
My name is Theresa and I, like Guillaume, am a fellow geek (Geek Test result: 43.91144 – impressive, though I’m a bit sad it wasn’t 42). Because I’m unable to do an extensive tour like Guillaume’s, I’m excited to be a part of his amazing project by helping him plan his route, translating his blog articles into English, and generally cheering him on. I’ll also get to join him in a few cities along his path around the world!
So, what makes me a geek? Well, I’m not as tech savvy as most other geeks and am particularly horrible at math, though I really do enjoy new electronics. To compensate for my lack of computer skills, I study languages (even “fake” ones like Elvish – yes, I know there are 2 kinds and can even tell you the difference between them), play RPGs (as well as any old-school video game that has a great story and 8-bit graphics), and study random subjects for fun (like abnormal psychology). I also enjoy science fiction, fantasy, comics (X-Men is my favorite), and everything involving zombies, dragons, and medieval history (obviously, Game of Thrones is my ideal series!!!) I can also, probably, kick your ass at Trivial Pursuit™. Oh! And I, like Sheldon Cooper, have criticized the historical accuracy of Renaissance and Viking festivals…
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this blog, either in French or English, and give Guillaume the kind of support he deserves for this sensational and unique project!
