Au-Chan: Cosplay, Jewelry, and Accessories Designer

It was at Fanamanga where I met Aura, or, rather, Au-chan. A devoted Otaku, she now designs her own Cosplay clothing, jewelry and accessories..

Originally from Mexico, Au-chan created the Kawaru Wa Yo workshop here in Quebec. While she enjoys her new home, she regrets there isn’t a TV channel dedicated to anime.
Her adventure began in 2008 when her origami jewelry business’ success led her to assemble a team of two seamstresses, a community manager, and a doll clothing and accessories specialist to quench the thirst of Quebecois Otakus.

Au-chan is driven to supply tailor-made cosplay on demand Bring her your manga or video game character drawing/photo and get ready to feel like you’re at Nadeshicon or Otakuthon.

In addition to being talented, Au-chan has a big heart. Her business also designs cat-themed accessories which raises money for the Gimli cat shelter.

The adventure doesn’t seem to be ending any time soon, as she will soon add a collection of bath accessories, scarves, and sushi-shaped pillows. In short, there are many surprises to come.
